Network Antioxidants: ALA, CoQ10 and Vitamins C and E
Some antioxidants work as a team, recycling and refreshing one another. Glutathione, alpha lipoic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E and CoQ10 make up what are called network antioxidants. Skin Care Nutrition – Part 2: Vitamins K2, C and E
In Part 2, I look at specific nutrients that support healthy skin. Vitamin K2 helps direct calcium to bones rather than soft tissue, vitamin C supports the body's natural collagen production, and vitamin E helps protect skin from everyday sun exposure. I also touch on astaxanthin, a carotenoid I find fascinating.
