Iodine Discovery: First Clue
Winter 2008, Toronto. On a dinner date, our founder tried a chewy, gray-brown seaweed at a buffet. He didn't like the taste, but he ate it anyway. Later, in a cold movie theater, he felt so warm that he began taking off layers. It was like someone had turned up his inner thermostat. Seven years later, he found the likely reason: the iodine in that seaweed.
